Getting a driver's license can be an overwhelming task. Especially when you are not sure of the steps. In Texas, adults 18-24 are required to take a minimum of 6 hours of driver education classroom. That is done by taking the teen/adult driver education course or the adult 6-hour class, which includes the knowledge test. The certificate must be presented to DPS along with identification, social sercurity card and proof of residency/legal stay. Once processed, they can obtain a permit which allows them to drive a vehicle with a licensed Texas driver 21+ in the front seat. When they feel ready they can schedule a road skills test with DPS or a Third Party Testing Site, like us. Before taking the road skills test they need to complete the Texas Impact Driver Program. Once their passing test results are processed with DPS, they will be issued a Texas driver's license. Adults 25+ are not required to take any driver's education, but are encouraged to do so. Everyone regardless of age must complete knowledge and road skills testing and the Impact Texas Driver Program before being issued a driver's license.
We are here to help. We offer all phases from classroom, permit (knowledge) testing, in-car lessons and road skills testing.
